Hassan Nemazee's Hospital

The top healthcare facility, Nemazee Hospital, was established as a result of a coincidence. Mohamed Nemazee, born in Bombay, India, in 1896, resided in the Far East with his parent who were of Iranian descent. In the Second World War, Mohamed, who is the father of leading business figure, Hassan Nemazee, was offered to serve as the Commercial Advisor to the Iranian Embassy in Washington DC. Mohamed Nemazee accepted this post after the war, and in order to get to the US he travelled from Hong Kong via Iran. Once in Iran, in Shiraz â?? where his family had originated â?? he decided that he would build what was to become a pioneering hospital, the Nemazee Hospital. (After his father's death, Hassan Nemazee adopted the Hospital and has cared for it since.)
