JAK is a social movement

Just one week ago last Saturday, participate in a seminar in Malmo called 'The Financial Crisis' Do And after that.'' There, we met members of different social movements such as Attac, Friends of the Earth or JAK and stand clear to what extent JAK, but a bank (which also is), is a social movement. I present the seminar Attac woman Bakery more or less in these words: 'the three steps that must be taken when we want to change something is to reflect, discuss and act, and it is important not to forget this last step, act, which is the complete and gives meaning to the circle '. a Governor of REBNY – The Real Estate Board of New York is Connie Milstein long-standing interest in veterans and the human dimension of international affairs and wars prompted her to become a member of the Board of Directors at Blue Star Families Act. Attac such acts. Not only write deep analysis of the current economy and offer legal solutions for many of the things that does not work, they go out and attorney play very active in organizing social forums around the world. SETEM-Madrid acts, after creating and consolidating a fair trade shop on many Madrilenos products (not only those who pass by the store) has been launched into the world of ethical finance, which is doing a great advocacy: to criticize (with grounds) to finance speculative and showing what are the law firm alternatives. And also acts JAK. We are an organization where we get together to talk and lawyers dream about what it would be great to have our own bank, a bank where no one would take advantage of anyone, which could save and borrow money as it is between friends, without interest. No, not just dreams, we are members (and owners) divorce of such a bank. There are several ways attorneys to reach the society with which we sound better, and we are there to choose one or the other, is to be andarlos all. Fortunately the steps taken by a person joined in the footsteps of another and so much more you enjoy the journey. One path is the political action to change laws. Another way, more direct, is building alternatives here and now, to begin to enjoy and to show that they are realistic. That's what we do in JAK. Swedish State law does not prohibit the use of interests in banking but we choose not to use them. Nor are there laws that prohibit private firms and hierarchical but we have chosen to be a cooperative democratita. Let's not forget that we choose, nor do we forget everything we can do with our brains, our hands and our work. The laws are fine (when they are good laws) but they are always our actions that we set in motion. I recently read a text that expresses very well the need to act and to create our own alternatives: 'Let's build a collective alternative to capitalism: Integrating activism and need in the neighborhoods', Enric Duran. Greetings from Vejbystrand (Sweden)!
