In the 21st century, the library will have inevitably confronted the new subject of knowledge management. The knowledge economy is based on knowledge. In the era of the knowledge economy management refers to identify, acquire, develop, solve, use, store and participate of the knowledge in an effective manner, to create an approach for transform and sharing of tacit and explicit knowledge and to increase the need and capacity of innovation using the knowledge of the computer. Since knowledge has become the driving force for social development, the attention of the society to information and knowledge is growing in the same way that, little by little, the demand of the people is increasing.
This fact has led to a good environment for the development of the library. Moreover, as the information and knowledge have become important factors of production for the modern economic system, necessarily society will need an enhanced information and knowledge management. How to manage knowledge will become an important issue that will be faced in the near future libraries and should focus on an effective research and development of knowledge in the creation of the knowledge bases, in the Exchange and participation of knowledge among the library staff (including users), in the training of the staff of the library, and expedite the implicit knowledge explicit.
